Economic situation of the rural population
The poverty in rural areas are much higher then in the urban areas. The people in rural area that recived help are a lot less then in the cities.
In consequence to these about 470 hospital had closed do to the missing founds to keep it open because of the lock of payments.
Not a lot of the population in rural areas are reciving the help from medicare or medicaid .
PROBLEMS IN THE RURAL AREAS WITH
HEALTHCARE
• THERE ARE ONLY 10% OF PHYSICIAN
WORKING IN RURAL AREAS. THIS
MEANS THAT FOR A PATIENT TO GET
TO SEE A PHYSICIAN HAVE TO
TRAVEL LONG DISTANCE.
• THE AVERAGE RESPONSE TO AN
EMERGENCY IS ABOUT 18 MINUTES.
IT IS ABOUT 8 MINUTES MORE THEN
URBAN AREAS.
Rural Programs Design to Help with the health care Problems
The NRHA which stands for National
Rural Health Association, was created to help with the healthcare problems in rural areas.
The NRHA got a program that place healthcare workers in rural areas, and in exchange they help to pay the tuition fees. The NRHA is also getting founds to make hospital improvements, and for research in rural areas.
They also had help create new clinics How the changes had help the rural areas
• By opening more hospitals and clinics is helping the population to short the distance that the people that need had to travel to get medical attention.
• These new clinics that the NRHA had help to open also offer a special payment method to help patients pay for their Health care. •

By doing improvements in the clinics and hospital helps to patients to be able to do most of the treatments and procedure in the hospital of their area. The incentives that the NRHA is creating to bring healthcare workers to the rural clinics and hospital is helping these facilities to provide the healthcare that the patients deserved.
