This article topic is related to chapter 3, “Drug Use Regulation, and the Law” on page 103, in the introduction where it explains about the society obligations, regulations and control drugs usage as they are being used legally as prescribe by the doctors or over the counter.
We can also relate back to the book on page 105 where it mentions the three required categories for a drug to be considered nonprescription and on page 119 under the subheading: drug legalization debate where its debated whether drugs should be considered legalized or abused. In my opinion, marijuana is the most highly abused drug in the United States. It should not be legalized because I do not believe most people need it. Even though, marijuana can help seizure patients, ADHD children, epilepsy, neuropathy, and Huntington’s disease, it should not be legalized because of the forms of smoke and legalizing may encourage using it, which will affect the health of a person’s surroundings. I highly recommend marijuana should be illegal because as a mother and a wife, I would not refer my son or my upcoming generation to face any medical condition or learning disabilities because of marijuana use. Personally, I believe that if parents are addicted to drugs, there are more chances for their family members to be a drug
abuser.
