Marilyn Monroe Biography
It is unfortunate that Marilyn Monroe had a tragic ending because she had survived a tough childhood to become very well-known actress. Marilyn’s mother was unstable and Marilyn wasn’t sure of who her father was. Marilyn, through her struggles, was very successful. She took the role of acting in many plays and modeled. Marilyn becoming famous brought her to be quite wealthy. Marilyn was born in Los Angeles by the name of Norma Jeane Mortenson. She didn’t know who her mom was until the age of seven. She spent her childhood in several foster homes and orphanages. Later, Marilyn worked in a munitions factory in California where she was discovered by a photographer. Marilyn’s last two films, in 1960 and 1961, were not all that successful. Her career and personal life was said to have seemed to go down hill. In 1962, Marilyn was dismissed from a play “Something’s Got To Give”. She missed too many days of filming because she said she was sick. Marilyn missed 21 out of 23 filming days. The play was canceled because Dean Martin declined to make the film without her. On May 19, 1962, Marilyn sung “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” at John F. Kennedy’s birthday celebration. Marilyn died on August 5, 1962, from what has been speculated as a possible drug overdose. Marilyn is remembered for her sense of humor. Two days after her death, aired one of her interviews.
