Week 5 Leadership Outline: 100 points

I. Introduction

A. My presentation is going to be about Mark Cuban and how he is a very good example and role model for any businessman or woman.

B. Mark Cuban is a very successful businessman and current owner of the Dallas Mavericks. His current net-worth is 2.3 billion dollars.

C. The purpose of my presentation is to show businessmen that anyone who has perseverance and a little bit of luck can succeed in the business world.

A. I chose business administration because it is a career that has been in my family for a long time and I feel that this career is what I was meant to do.

B. I expect to graduate within the next 2 years.

III. Who is the leader?
A. I chose Mark Cuban because I’ve followed him since I was a young teenager and I see him as a role model. He has shown me that no matter how you start out in life there is a way to improve one’s situation.

IV. Characteristics of an effective leader
A. An effective leader must have mission, vision, competency, goals, communications skills, interpersonal skills, a strong team, inspiration and ambition.

V. Define Your Leadership Qualities
A. What are your personal strengths as a leader?

I believe that my personal strengths as a leader are my ability to compromise, present my idea clearly, listen and to solve problems easily.

B. What are your personal weaknesses as a leader?
My personal weaknesses as a leader are my lack of communications skills, don’t like to work in teams, and conflict management.
