Executive Summary
Mark Cuban is an extremely savvy businessman and an even more eccentric celebrity. Cuban currently owns the Dallas Mavericks, Landmark Theatres, and Magnolia Pictures (Manfred,2011).
Cuban first grabbed the spotlight by his over the top behavior at Mavericks games. Sitting far away from the owners box, down in the sections behind the hoop or bench. Cuban would routinely get thrown out for his antics during games (Zillgitt, 2010). Everything from yelling at the refs to the opposing players nothing was off limits to cause him to be ejected. Cuban has also appeared in many TV shows such as Entourage and Shark Tank (Manfred,2011).
Cuban uses his extensive means for good too. Recently Cuban financed a docudrama about the March 2006 rape and murder of a Muslim girl (Zillgitt, 2010). Cuban also had ties in the distribution of the documentary Loose Change which highlighted the conspiracies surrounding 9/11 (Zillgitt, 2010).
He started the Fallen Patriot Fund to help military families who have had family die in Iraqi War. Cuban matched the first $1 million raised (Manfred,2011).
