Question 3 Mark Marchand could be described as risk taking, skilled and head-strong person. The reason this can be said is because he chose his own son to stay in the terrorists’ van and even be tortured and not do anything about it. Also, Mark picked Ben to go communicate for many good reasons. The first reason is that everything leading up to Ben being sent out was staged. Ben’s father purposely saying “Special Forces” so Ben could hear it and wrote down the time 9:30 pretending to cover it. In this part of the book, Mark Marchand is talking and saying he knew what would happen and even said: “Because I knew you better than anyone else…”. This shows that he made the right move and could get the information he needed
