With the question still looming, “Did Shakespeare write or not?”, many people speculated upon the matter, including the great American writer Delia Salter who claims Francis
Bacon among others wrote Shakespeare's plays. Even the great Mark Twain; author of, “Is
Shakespeare Dead?”(1909), has stated that no one can actually prove Shakespeare ever wrote a play in his life. Mark Twain and Delia Salter were not the only writers to raise a red flag either,
Samuel Mosheim Schmucker in his book “Historic Doubts Respecting Shakespeare”(1853), stated his thoughts on the situation as well. “How could a man with a record of little to none education recorded wrote 37 plays, and 154 sonnets?”
Many theories have been created over the years on the topic. Charlie Chaplin; a well known actor, filmmaker, and composer wrote in his “My Autobiography”(1964); “ I am not concerned with who wrote the works of Shakespeare … but I can hardly think it was the Stratford boy.
Whoever wrote them had an aristocratic attitude.” A researcher must take all things into account, how can a man that could barely write his own name be the greatest poet
