For those of you who do not know what Facebook is, it shall be explained. Facebook is a global social network of which anyone may make a free account and all they need is a name and an email. With Facebook an account holder can message and video chat with the friends and family no matter where they are. Some find this interesting, others not so much. If those who find this uninteresting knew the profit behind a social network of this popularity, then they would find this very interesting. Mark Zuckerberg, is the founder of Facebook. As you may have guess he is a very rich man, all thanks to his program which was started in a college dorm room at Harvard. Although he attended Harvard he dropped out because he wanted to finish his program which later became Facebook without worrying about the burdens of school. Mark Zuckerberg is the son of Karen and Edward Zuckerberg. He was born and raised in New York, But he was born in White Plains New York and raised in Dobbs Ferry New York. When Mark Zuckerberg began classes at Harvard he was already considered a programming prodigy. During his sophomore year he wrote a program called CourseMatch which was a big help and assisted his classmates. Zuckerberg created a program initially called Face-Mash which let students select the best looking students from a choice of photos. Face-Mash was very popular at Harvard, but it was closed quickly because it overwhelmed one of the schools network switches. The students wanted a website made that was like this and through the Harvard staff. When Zuckerberg found out he deiced that he would create a website like this, that would be better than the universities. He then dropped of Harvard his sophomore year so that he could complete his project. Mark Zuckerberg originally made a program called Face-Mash and later developed Facebook. He wanted to create a Facebook like program without all of the problems at Harvard, so he dropped out and made Facebook. This wasn’t until he discovered
