Academic Opportunity
JCMS offers Academic Opportunity on Tuesday of each week afterschool from 3:15-4:00. Academic Opportunity is offered for students to complete missing assignments from the previous week due to absence or receive needed tutoring. Students may also stay for Academic Opportunity to retake a graded assignment from the previous week and replace the existing grade. The replacement assignment will cover the same information but may vary from the original assignment in types and wording of questions. A parent or guardian must sign the back of this newsletter giving permission for the student to stay for academic opportunity each week. Our desire is to see your child succeed at JCMS. Important Dates and Information: Fall Break October 7-11, 2013 Please remember to sign up for Harvey’s Cards and Bi-Lo Cards!

Remember, when a student is absent, he or she needs to check with his or her teachers to find what was missed. Students have three days from the day they return to turn in any missed assignments.
