M3- Develop a coherent marketing mix that is targeted at a defined group of potential customers.

| Target Market | Product | 1. | Young Girls( Aged 7-12) | Doll | 2. | Middle – Aged Both Genders | Gardening Tool Set | 3. | Young Adults | Mobile phone |

Young Girls (Aged 7-12) – Doll
The product is aimed at young girls as they are more likely to play with dolls. The reason why young girls like to play with dolls is simply because it’s like having a best friend. Where you can do girly things e.g. do their hair, play dress up, talking to someone where you can tell all your secrets to. You would find this product in stores like Toys R US, they are so much more than toys they are a destination for kids, big or small. You’d also find this product in stores like Tesco, Argos, and Woolworth etc. You can also find these products in catalogues and it is often advertised on television. You can also go online. The target for this is kids who have parents/careers, as they have money, access and knowledge in order to go online/ring and buy the product also to purchase the product in person. You need the product at a reasonable price, as the parents will be spending their money on their kid. If it’s at a high price its due to the quality of the product also the young girls treat their dolls as if it’s really precious to them, so you know that they’d take good care of it. However if it’s at a low price then the quality isn’t as good and not worth the money and the parents know that their kids are worth more than that. You need to make sure it’s at a reasonable price, as the kids are young and they’ll eventually grow out of it.

Middle- Aged Both Genders- Gardening Tool Set
The product is aimed at both genders female and male and to those who have a key interest in gardening and have a garden that they take care of time to time. The reason why the target market is aimed at middle aged, as some have more time on their hands than others, also they tend to have more of a key interest and like to spend their spare time gardening. You would find this product in stores like Argos, Tesco, B&Q etc. You can also find these products in catalogues and you can also go online. These products are useful as they are the right tools to use for gardening and need to have all the right equipment in order to keep it looking fresh. Garden tools tend to be at a high price due to the quality, and if you want your garden to be looking fresh, you need to right tools with the quality to do so, also middle aged have money, but the price has to match up to the product.

Young Adults- Mobile Phone
Mobile phone usage only seems to be growing. The reason why young adults are the target market is simply because they like to keep in trend with the latest technology also they have money and also have parents with money. It has everything that a young adult would want e.g. keeping in contact with family and friends, social networking, you can go online, surf the web, play games, watch movies etc. You can find this product in stores like o2, 3 store, T-mobile, orange, carphone warehouse etc. You can also go online, find them in catalogues, advertised on television etc. There is a huge price range depending on what the public’s needs are. It all depends on what phone they are buying e.g. you can get discount buyers and brand buyers, just like the ones in supermarkets. Some people tend to buy cheap phones because they need to contact people such as friends and family, just wanting a temporary phone doesn’t care whether is old fashioned or not and doesn’t need anything else as they might have little need for gadgets or perhaps it’s as simple as they can’t afford to buy a smart phone. Whereas others may want an expensive mobile phone as it might offer something that another doesn’t, such as having all the latest apps, it’s also a social and life statues in order to fit in with the crowd, some just want the best phone whatever the best really is to be honest depending on the buyer.

To conclude this, in my perspective I think you need the right price, right product and right promotion in order to meet their target market/needs.

We have hoped that this product will gain a target market of woman and young girls. This decision was reached after doing market research; we did questionnaires asking people if there was a new product in the market, what kind of product they would want the most. Our questionnaire and field research were directed specifically at woman and we found out 90% of the woman would like a lipstick as they like to look presentable when they go out. The extensive research that we did showed us that woman buy lipsticks a lot more than other products. It was important for us to do market research when we come up with the product idea because market research helps you know the market and the people you will be working with. It also helps make decisions about pricing, promotion, product and location. With market research you are able to understand how your products or services fit your target market and also to gain information about how your competitors and customer needs in order to meet them.…

Throughout the human race war has been a way of life for all the generations. Easton 's 1897 Bible Dictionary describes war as a generational phenomenon from the times of Israelites to the world wars; 1, 11 and 111.According to his argument the Israelites engaged in a series of forceful conquests with the Canaanites for years before taking possession of the promised. Therefore war and its effects are generational and the effects are both present and historical and future.…

    2) Martha believes that women are the target market for this product because the product reduces violence and mess. However, she is imagining this product more for housewife use, when in reality many women are now in the job world. So instead, Martha should categorize her market by single women, working women, housewives, mothers etc. They can expand their market to animal lovers, because it doesn’t put the mice at harm and they can be released. They can also be marketed to families with kids because then kids can see that the mouse wasn’t being hurt and also because the product doesn’t use poison, it doesn’t put the child in danger for monitoring the product.…

    3. Although the product is being targeting to women, there is no special addressing to them. The product caught women’s attention because of its “cleanliness” and “easiness,” because women are most likely to seek for hygiene and less work for many factors. The product was placed in national groceries, hardware stores, and discount chains. I believe she should start offering it through the Internet for shipping which can be very beneficial, because women are more of an online shopper and they usually are busy with kids, work, the house, etc. Also, selling the product in any household place is more visible to a woman’s eye.…
