Introduction
Procter & Gamble Co., also known as P&G, is an American multinational consumer goods company which has it's headquarters in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. This firm was founded by William Procter, a candle - maker and James Gamble, a soap maker, both belonging to the United Kingdom. Its products include pet foods, cleaning agents, and personal care products. As of 2014, P&G recorded sales of $83.1 billion.
P&G is one of the largest and amongst the fastest growing consumer goods companies in India. Its presence pans across the Beauty & Grooming segment, the Household Care segment as well as the Health & Well Being segment, with trusted brands that are household names across India. Superior product propositions and technological innovations have enabled P&G to achieve market leadership in a majority of categories it is present in.

Political Analysis
Changes in both foreign and local political activities have significant effect on companies. P&G being a global player needs to keep in mind this as it expands .Currently its aim is to develop a favourable business community and build upon its brand value. Extensive use of AD campaigns directed at raising awareness towards a national issue helps gain public support and aids in sustaining a favourable political-legal environments.
Economic Analysis
P&G faces high levels of competition in its global and local markets of Europe and Asia. It competes with Unilever for market share in Europe. P&Gs biggest threat is the European Free trade policy which encourages the emergence of more brands offering differentiated and cheaper products.
