Fido buffed her for attention and she stopped braiding her hair to scratch him behind the ear.
“I’ve missed you too. The mean old doctor kept me far too long at the hospital.”
She buried her nose in Fido’s fur and pushed aside the memory of the horrors she endured at the hospital.
The vibes from hundreds of persons had tortured her day and night, and she could not escape from them. Kjell had helped her a lot, being there to distract her when the vibes overwhelmed her. One good thing among all the bad.
“There, enough now. I have to put my hair up and get dressed.”
Fido limped to his pillow and started cleaning his fur. Mom put flowers in her hair and put on her butterfly dress, it was obvious that he had to look his best too.

Have you found out more about his background?”
“It’s strange. All we’ve found is normal. No problems at home or at school. He graduated top of the class. No antisocial behaviour. He’s been working as a cashier for two years. His co-workers never noticed anything strange about him either.”
“It’s a family secret. What happened. The parents know. I’m sure. I felt it. On the island.”
“They’ve hidden it well.” He filled his plate and gave a piece of fish to Fido. “He made Maria take out the restraining order on Pettersson, to keep them apart. Pettersson knew something was off with Falk.”
“How did they end up here?”
“Maria’s mother took her here on holiday once. She came here to hide from Falk and told Pettersson about it. He followed Falk here, in an attempt to keep Maria safe.”
“So much pain and suffering.” She reached for Fido, who ignored her in favour of the fish.
“It’s over now.” He took her hand and let his fingers caress hers.
“Are you sure I did not kill him?” She had asked him many times before but needed to hear the answer again.
“Certain. Lindberg shot him.” He took her hand and let his fingers caress hers. “You did what you had to do, but you did not kill him. OK?”
She sighed. “I don’t think I’ll ever be OK after
