An activist who took a risk to fight for his cause, was Martin Luther King, Jr. He was living in the United States where everything was segregated: water fountains, buses, and even neighborhoods. (history.com) He wanted to change that, so he gave speeches, and organized rallies.

As a young girl, Malala grew up in the Swat Valley of Pakistan (nationalgeographic.com). Then, the Taliban came and took over, and said that girls could not go to school. Malala was very upset about this, saying, “All I want is education, and I am afraid of no one”(malala.org). One day, while coming home on a bus, the Taliban shot her and her friend. She was rushed to the UK, and everybody was worried about her.
