People, products and services all perfectly combined to equal success is what makes up the principles of managing. What is intriguing to me about the course is the endless possibilities and paths one is able to take with this career, achieving this by learning the foundations of how a business works. I have always been a curious and passionate person, I think that by studying this course I will be able to put my abilities and curiosity to the ultimate test. It is a priority to me to always strive to develop and improve my abilities.

I have accomplished many things in my short life-time and although they are small in comparison of what really matters such as skills, abilities and mindsets , these have shaped me into the person I am today. From being class president and working on the voice of students being heard, to being on the dance team and learning how teamwork and passion can truly impact one’s results, to being inducted to the National Honor Society that promoted the importance of academics, community service and participating in state-run competitions, as well as being accepted in the prestigious Peer Assistant Leadership program where students are given the opportunity to mentor a troubled child or a special education student. Consequently, due to all the hard

As an international student I am also very enthusiastic of exploring such a beautiful and unique city such as London. Being a Mexican citizen who spent six years in Texas, I can confirm that being immersed in a different culture is one of the most enriching experiences and I would be truly grateful to get to explore an European country. I have really enjoyed this class, however, I am not going to lie, every week when we learned about new principles I wanted to take the book to my organization and hit them in the head with it to read. I realize this is not a perfect world but it would be nice for upper management to have the knowledge of management. It is very interesting that when you look at our organization, very few “high ranking” enlisted have degrees, yet all the airmen do, however, airmen are not the ones who have control. This class has opened me up on management within organizations so when I do reach that level I will be well informed.…

    NJROTC Reflective Report

During high school, I committed most of my free time to my NJROTC unit and my 4-H club. In both of these organizations, community service, leadership, citizenship, and initiative are indispensable values that are essential to their functioning, and I like to think I have learned to embody these traits. In 4-H, I have attended, and then went on to teach, numerous leadership and group trainings. In NJROTC, I attended the Area 5 Leadership Academy, graduated as the Second Honor Cadet of the 2014 Academy, and was selected to be an Aide for the 2015 Academy. I held, or currently hold, leadership positions in both organizations and I feel I set a good example for my peers and subordinates. Through any task, I am enthusiastic about my job and…

From there, I hope to study to be accepted into medical school and specialize in pediatrics. When preparing for medical school, the advice one hears are to become a well-rounded student. Through my DECA experiences I have been able to develop leadership skills that will help me thrive in my future. Over the three years I have been involved, I have stepped out my comfort zone and made a difference in my local DECA chapter, community, and my future. Now taking the responsibility of being a DECA officer, as the chapter president, has allowed me to continue to grow and develop my leadership, communication, and social skills. Working with the Milan DECA Chapter members has proven how difficult and enjoyable being a leader is. At times leading so many events can be stressful; however, the completion of the events pushes me further. In order to reach the goal of becoming ‘well-rounded’, I used DECA skills to organize my time to join other extracurriculars within my community. Along with DECA, I participate in 4-H which is a non-profit organization in counties all across the nation that prepares youth to make a positive impact on their communities. Furthermore, I lead my 4-H club in a Relay For Life team through the American Cancer Society. Additionally, I am a dedicated musician, drum major, and the first Milan High School Flute Choir Director. I am an active participant in the peer education program at Milan High School. I am so thankful for the opportunities to be a leader within my class, school, community, county, and…

Not only did I feel proud for making interdisciplinary connections when explaining things, but I was also able to support my friends. My peers would walk into math tutoring completely clueless, but would walk out offering to teach others the material. The excited yells of kids who received As on tests for the first time was worth more than anything else I could’ve done in my free time. Beyond that, I realized support is a universal need. By believing in my peers’ ability, I helped them overcome hurdles that had been there for a long time. Most of all, contributing to the community wasn’t about the hours I put into it, but rather the effects that my service had. My actions can protect the future from the chaos of potentiality.…

The National Honor Society is a group of students that exemplify the traits of leadership, character, citizenship, and intelligence. It is crucial that the future members of this organization exhibit these characteristics to the best of their abilities. For a great majority of my student life, I strived to perform these traits to my utmost capability, aiming to become an excellent example for my fellow peers. Throughout my high school career, I have been on the honor role for every quarter thus far. I feel deep pride and satisfaction in my grades and scholarly accomplishments, for they are a visual example of the hard work and large amount of effort I put into my studies. Although I not acquired any formal leadership positions, I exert my leadership abilities by example. In my classes, I often…

There are several goals I have set for myself in college; I aspire to make the dean's-list in all the years I attend college, I anticipate participating in a minimum of two organizations which can get me more absorbed in the community, and finally, I want to become involved with the student body, and attend as many school sponsored events as I can. In my junior year, when I heard I made the honor roll at my high school, I was overcome with a feeling of fulfillment. This was the first time I had made the honor roll and with this achievement was a feeling of pride for the work I put in, and for the way the work reflected in my grades. But, I stayed hungry and kept working to maintain this honor, and I finished on the honor role for the entirety…

In addition to scholarship and leadership, I am very active in service activities outside of school. At my mother’s house, we volunteer for a dog organization and foster pit-bulls who are injured and in need of nurturing. I also go with the Williamstown Jazz Band to perform at elderly homes in order to cheer up the residents. Furthermore, I will gladly partake in school sponsored activities without delay. Fortunately, by the fifth grade my parents were able to rent an apartment nearby our school and had found jobs in multiple Brownsville restaurants. After the move, things became much easier and we were able to have a much simpler life, though we were never able to forget the hardships we experienced and the effort we put into enhancing our lives. Today, I am sure my successes as of now are gratifying my parents as I am in the top 10% of my class, the Co-Captain of the Golden Stars Dance Team, member of the National Honor Society, Piano Club, HOSA, and in TRIO UTRGV talent search program. I attend rigorous AP classes to improve my opportunity to attend a university and have the finest future I can give myself. Although my triumphs may not look like much to most, I can assertively say that the trial of going through difficulty to have a superior future has been overcome with the comfort of focus, strength, and the right set of mind to build a better tomorrow for my family and…

Every day I wake up determined to do more than I did the day before. My past achievements include gaining leadership skills, being on a varsity sport, and learning outside of school. I have been in tennis for eight years and varsity for three years, where I have received two awards for most improved player. I was accepted into the program “Trees for Tomorrow” where I learned how to manage and use natural resources in a classroom and in field studies. I participated in a new sport, a cross country ski team, where it taught me skills and strengthened my mind set about myself. My early years of high school, I was part of the backstage crew for a play, performed at my high school. The theatrical plays were terrible, under equipped, with barely…

I surpassed my barriers and became Head Captain of my color guard while obtaining an officer position in other organizations such as National Honor Society and Business Professionals of America. As of now, I have placed in soccer tournaments with various soccer clubs (some of them in the premier division, which is the highest division in MOSA), won elementary school chess tournaments, won the "Catena Fun Run" for my age group, and got the most noteworthy presidential grant there is when I graduated fifth grade. I self-taught myself the piano and can play many classical pieces such as "Turkish March" and "Nutcracker", am in honors math and the gifted and talented program, made "Back in Black" band for my saxophone, and got to go to all the track meets for the 200 meter run, even winning one. Last of all, I received all A+s in every subject for every marking period in 7th grade. Each and every one of these achievements is a piece of my story, or my legacy, and could be considered as great accomplishments for one of my age. Obviously, though, I still have a lot more room to accomplish more and grow, and add bits of success to my legacy. I would like to have the success of being accepted into Biotec, and later go on to become a doctor of some sort. As I proceed with my life, I would also want accomplishments in my interests, activities, and schooling to become part of my legacy as well. However, accomplishments are great, but something else is an important part of your legacy- change. As of now, I haven't really made any immense or significant changes to the school or world. I mean, with everything you accomplish you definitely alter your school and world in some small way, but when I think of a great big change, I think of something that positively impacts everyone in a specific group, such as a school or world. This is why again, I don’t think I have made any huge changes as of now, but I would like to and without a doubt plan on doing so in the future. That's part of the reason I want to become a doctor- with every person they help heal, those people can get back on their feet and…
