1.0 Summary
Mastitis, the most common cause is Staphylococcus aureus. Mastitis is usually followed by swelling and redness of the cow’s udder. Testing for this you would use a strip cup test to see if the bacterium is present. You then take the result for this and see how bad the bacterium is, so then you would be able to carry out more investigations and be able to find out control methods. These methods would be hygiene and regularly cleaning the milking machines.
