Max Mckeowan's Statement On Innovation And Rebellion

I agree but also disagree with Max McKeowan’s statement about innovation and rebellion, especially if applied to reform, revolution, and punk rock. He says that you should start a revolution in order to reject the old in order to establish a new and better, status quo. But in most situations you don't need to start a revolution, you can start by reforming ideas and concepts and see how they turn out. many people find other ways to get through difficult times such as punk, punk is anarchy not a visible change to the status quo. Using different techniques and ideas may make a big difference. In many situation you can try reform before revolution, but it may not always work out. During the American Civil Rights Movement under Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s leadership, African Americans achieved more genuine progress toward racial equality in America than the previous 350 years had produced. He had a dream and wanted to help make a difference for his people, so he started with reform first. He did small protests and speeches to get his message across. Dr. Martin Luther did what he thought was right and it made a big impact on society back then and and still around today. In this certain situation the way he handled the problems was a great way to show how you can use reform before revolution.
Many people used music to express their thoughts, ideas, and feelings such as during revolutions and wars the people would use songs to get their message across to people.
Many of their peers seemed to agree that people had an easier time expressing themselves through talking, giving speeches and or even singing about it. Music got many people interested in the lyric and they would all start to understand much better. Using refer during a revolution may help make a big difference. In this situation there may already be a resolution started but you can use reform to help solve some of the
issues.
