1. Purpose. The subject course provides instruction on basic mathematics.
2. Scope. This course instructs and reviews a Marine’s knowledge of basic mathematics. It covers a brief history, terminology, addition, subtraction, fractions, word problems, basic algebra, geometry, and problem solving techniques.
3. Applicability. This course is intended to prepare the Marine to be proficient in common mathematics used in everyday life. This course is designed for all Marines.
4. Recommendations. Comments and recommendations on the contents of the course are invited and will aid in subsequent course revisions. Please complete the course evaluation questionnaire at the end of the final examination. Return the questionnaire and the examination booklet to your proctor.
