McKesson Pharmaceuticals “Combat Against Drugs”
McKesson Pharmaceuticals is a pharmaceutical drug distribution company that strives to improve the image of the past scandals that affect the reputation of the company and interactions with future clients. The company hopes to enlighten the issue of drug abuse and drug overdose over addictive prescription drugs – which are commonly pain relief medication. A few of the most abused prescription medication includes methadone, Vicodin, and hydrocodone.
The company has devised to include three parts in the “Combat Against Drugs” campaign, which is primarily focused on the citizens in Dallas, Texas. The city of Dallas has drug abuse and addiction as one of the highest leading causes of death and hospitalized treatment, and in most cases, happen among the youth and college students.
Based on the set budget provided for this project, these are the conditions that follow:
1. The company will be actively searching and funding the necessary software to further manage the distribution of prescription medication internally and externally to the pharmacy. This is used to provide further transparency with how our distribution can improve against illicit drug manufacturing and/or theft.
2. The company will donate a lump sum of $5 million split evenly to two of the top-rated drug …show more content…
In addition to the lump sum and to increase the public recognition to the deeds of the company, a portion of the profits gained from a “Combat Against Drugs Run” will be hosted at White Rock Lake in order to spread the awareness of drug abuse. Costs will incur from purchasing event shirts, portable restrooms, food and beverages, permits to reserve area and allow service from food vendors, and other related costs. Profits are achieved through admission fees to enter the race and purchasing items from sponsors. Total estimated costs are $21,820, and the estimated total profits are $43,180.
