The film Me and Earl and the Dying Girl was first released in November of 2015 and was directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon. It stars Thomas Mann, Olivia Cooke, and RJ Cyler as the main protagonists. Me and Earl and the Dying Girl follows the story of a young teenage boy (Thomas Mann) named Greg Gaines who is a senior at Schenley High School. Greg tries to have vague, shallow relationships with his fellow students while still being polite with them, but his only true friend is Earl (RJ Cyler).
