Although he is still finding that out, based on the results of the quizzes he finds them to be conscientious and good at grasping the concepts. They usually do not miss any class and they are on time in the classes since the homework assignment is due at the beginning of the session.
Mainly based on the instructions that I receive from professor Dinehart, the concepts that I learned in the previous part of this program ME9200, as well as my personal experiences in academia.
He will provide me with all the notes that I need to
present in both the recorded session as well as the in-class sessions. He suggested that I attend the two sessions on Monday 10/30/2017 and Wednesday 11/01/2017 to get a sense of how the class is managed and meet with students of both sessions. He can also arrange for a practice run that will be recorded and I can observe and weaknesses I might have.
He suggested to implement an existing evaluation form (rubric) titled “Classroom Visit Instrument”. It mainly contains four empty fields for commenting on: Instruction, Instructor/Student Rapport, Style of Presentation, and General Comments. This is the same form that is used for evaluating junior faculty members.
