Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of engineering, physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools.[1] It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines.

The engineering field requires an understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity. Mechanical engineers use these core principles along with tools like computer-aided engineering, and product lifecycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons, and others.

Mechanical engineering emerged as a field during the industrial revolution in Europe in the 18th century; however, its development can be traced back several thousand years around the world. Mechanical engineering science emerged in the 19th century as a result of developments in the field of physics. The field has continually evolved to incorporate advancements in technology, and mechanical engineers today are pursuing developments in such fields as composites, mechatronics, and nanotechnology. Mechanical engineering overlaps with aerospace engineering, metallurgical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, petroleum engineering, manufacturing engineering, chemical engineering, and other engineering disciplines to varying amounts. Mechanical engineers may also work in the field of Biomedical engineering, specifically with biomechanics, transport phenomena, biomechatronics, bionanotechnology and modeling of biological systems, like soft tissue mechanics.Mechanical engineering finds its application in the archives of various

The first national park in the United States was the Yellowstone National Park, which was created in 1872. At this time, the concept of a national park was new for people. However, it was a great concept because it allowed people the ability to preserve and protect the best of what they had for the benefit and enjoyment of all future generations. Yellowstone National Park is located in a rugged region where the states of Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana come together. This rugged region is made up of alpine and sub-alpine forests, as well as, mountains of high elevation. Recognized for its ecological value, Yellowstone National Park was designated as a Biosphere Reserve in 1976; a biosphere reserve is an environmental area which is highly sensitive and has protected status, which is managed primarily to preserve natural ecological conditions. This paper on Yellowstone National Park will be discussing the impacts associated with agriculture, the effects that a growing human population can have on the resources of an ecosystem, a management practice to help with sustainability, the risks and benefits for extracting renewable and nonrenewable energy resource for the ecosystem, and management practices for sustainability and conservation of natural resources and energy.…

Mechanical engineering is the application of engineering, physics and material for design analysis and fabrication, and manufacturing of materials devices. In the field of mechanical engineering, it is important to understand the mechanics, kinematics and thermodynamics. Mechanical engineering is divided into subfields; mechanics: production of suspension, linkages and mechanisms; mechatronics: building robots, drones and automation systems; structure: analyzes failures in tests; thermodynamics: manufacturing HVAC and networking consumer products; Design: designing consumer products. Then Mr. Kele explained about his experience working as a mechanical engineer in the medical industry. He graduated in 2009, the year of recession and the housing market had crashed. It was hard to find jobs and internships. He got the opportunity to work in his wife’s friend company. He had worked on manufacturing of endoscopes and other medical devices. He works mainly as an R&D which is the research and development aspect of the projects.…

Mechanical engineers are connected with the production and processing of energy and with providing the means of production, the tools of transportation, and the techniques of automation. The skill and knowledge base are extensive. Among the disciplinary bases are mechanics of solids and fluids, mass and momentum transport, manufacturing processes, and electrical and information theory. Mechanical engineering design involves all the trainings in mechanical engineering. Real problems resist compartmentalization. A simple journal bearing involves fluid flow, heat transfer, friction, energy transport, material selection, thermo mechanical treatments, statistical descriptions, and so on.…

    Mechanical advantage

Mechanical advantage is a measure of the force amplification achieved by using a tool, mechanical device or machine system. Ideally, the device preserves the input power and simply trades off forces against movement to obtain a desired amplification in the output force. The model for this is the law of the lever. Machine components designed to manage forces and movement in this way are called mechanisms. An ideal mechanism transmits power without adding to or subtracting from it. This means the ideal mechanism does not include a power source, and is frictionless and constructed from rigid bodies that do not deflect or wear. The performance of a real system relative to this ideal is expressed in terms of efficiency factors that take into account friction, deformation and wear.…
