“Racism”
Imagine being called names or being bullied in school or anywhere else because of your race? People these days are very judgemental, they make fun of you, sometimes make you look and feel stupid. Racism is a process of discriminating based on their races. “Racism”, media nowadays don’t try to stop but promotes racism. Racism is also a continues, or haven’t been stopped problem for decades.
According to the famous words of “Martin Luther King” (Leader of AfricanAmerican
Civil Rights Movement) he had a dream that one day all races could just get along. That dream of his became a reality. However, our society still has some racist people, and throughout the year it mostly affects the children in the society which they live in. In a YouTube video, racism is represented as showing as how other races has hate towards other races. However, this is challenged by a recent song created by the “Black Eyed
Piece”. This song tells is that, loving only your own race, leaves space to discriminate. These media text shows us how we have race discriminations. We can challenge racism by doing something small like a song just like that one created by Black Eyed Piece. A simple song that has a lot of meaning that might change how other people think about other races.
In a YouTube video created by non specific people, the media tex deals with physical abuse and racism. The primary purpose of this video is to get some views and be famous socially through internet. The targeted audience of this videos seemed to be people with color or other people who watches vines, as evidenced by the people who created the videos, and the use of slang words/ street slang. One of the persuasive tools used is pathos, since the video makers makes the vines funny, and they play with peoples emotions.
