For the past 48 hours, I have eliminated all the use of media except for emergencies, work, and anything to do with school. In general, "media" refers to various means of communication. For example, television, radio, the internet, books, and the newspaper are different types of media. The term can also be used as a collective noun for the press or news reporting agencies. it was not as easy as I thought it would be. There’s not many thing that can be done without the use of media. I find it really hard to go through the day without having media, it is very inconvenient for me.
Although I started the day feeling good, I noticed my mood started to change around noon. I started to feel isolated and lonely. I received several phone calls that I could not answer, it was hard. For example, I was supposed to meet up with some friends for coffee, but it was really hard to communicate without my phone. We had to plan the time and place a day ahead without having it confirmed on that day itself. Not having a cell phone created a logistical problem. It was manageable for one day, but I cannot see how life would be possible without one the most important aspect of a cell phone seems to be being able to meet up with people it is problematic having to make up specific times and places to meet up with people: most of us are very accustomed to our flexible by-the-whim lives.
My best friend, Nabil is in college, we do not get to see each other as often as we did before. We usually communicate on a daily-basis. Hate the fact that I could not talk to him at all for 48 hours. During class, I regularly check twitter to see what my friends are doing. Normally after my class I go out with my friends for lunch but since I cannot call them, I was not able to ask where they were going for lunch so I end up going straight home.
The fact that I eliminated the use of media, I had absolutely nothing to do at home. I could not watch the television, go on Facebook, or listen
