Media Director The main task required for a media director is that he has to be responsible to manage different media departments that includes planning and implementing the plan. He/She is also responsible to shape plans for media buying, placing ads etc and see that they remain within the fixed budget for the period. There are lot of responsibilities for a media director. They have to conduct strategy meetings and ice breakers to make everyone know each other. This would help to work as a team listening to others feedback and suggestion. They would also have to explain projects with their colleagues and supervise the media department. They also have to correlate the launch …show more content…
The Media Director also needs to gather information regarding the different kinds of audience that has to be reached by the media. He has to handle different kinds of media to reach out to the public. He also should discover space in columns in journals and publications and reset space for different advertising agencies. (Sinha,2007) .

According to Study.com, Media Directors keeps a track on media based activities which ensures public interest in a firms product and services. The qualification for this post is that he/she is required to have a bachelors degree in the parallel field and also with a working experience of two years. Media Directors usually work in advertising agencies and other areas to assure that the ads are conveyed well to the public. Other than getting employed with advertising agencies, Media Directors might also get hired by large corporations and companies with advertising departments. Taking advantage of media strategies and technologies, these specialists work to relate the advertisement to the intended public. The company believes certain responsibilities and qualifications that the candidate should have includes five or more years experience in media planning on the publisher side and three years of direct management experience basically in digital media.
