Being a Medical Assistant you have to worry about a lot. You have to know your job really good and be careful at what you do. I as a medical assistant would avoid a lot of things. I would make sure that I communicate with the patients and make sure they understood everything clearly. Poor communication between the patients and medical assistants may result in many misunderstandings and misguided expectations. I would always take the time to explain the diagnosis, treatment, and precautions. According to Canale, “risk managers, insurers, and malpractice attorneys all believe that the quality of the doctor- patient relationship is the primary factor in determining whether a patient will sue his or her physician”,(2013). Good manners will decrease a lot of issue. Taking your time to explain and answer questions to the patients will explain a lot of things…

My major is science in ailed health. The reason why I choose this major is because I have always wanted to be in the health care industry as a nurse. Becoming a nurse is the heart of care. As a nurse I can make a difference in humanity. An obvious goal as a working adult returning to school is, of course, to earn my degree. My overall goal is no different than any other student. However, I have several personal goals I hope to achieve while attending school . Some of these goals are to acquire new skills, enhance my current career in health care, by applying what I learn in the classroom to forward my career, and to feel personal satisfaction of finishing something I started. Already having experience in the medical world has proven to me that it is essential to have skills to maintain and improve daily functions. Three skills would personally like to improve on are my organizational, time management, and presentation skills. At my place of employment for the past three years, I've noticed that as I gain more and more responsibilities, it becomes harder to remember appointments. The need to become more organized is quickly becoming a necessity. If I were more organized, would spend less time searching for things and would have more time to dedicate to my new responsibilities. This in effect, will help improve my time management skills at work which will hopefully rub off on my habits in my personal life. If improvement was made on my organizational and time management skills, I'd hope that I'd feel more prepared and therefore, more comfortable to make presentations in both the classroom and the workplace. In order to further my career with my current employer, I would need to apply these skills in my position. I've seen first hand that being complacent will not take you far and that only learning what you "need to" will rapidly expose the ceiling of how far up the ladder you can go. By just going through the motions of coming to work…
