Medical Front Office Assistant Career

The career choice I made was medical front office assistant. Being a medical front office assistant is best described as being a receptionist at a medical office. A medical front office assistant is responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and dealing with insurance information. Studying to become a medical front office assistant can be reasoned but not limited to: salary benefits, a growing demand for the career, education requirements and also personality qualifications to become one.
My number one reason to study medical front office assistant is because of my personality. Medical front office assistant are the very first people that interacts with you when you step inside a medical building. You have to be friendly, you have to welcome every guest with a smile and do something that will make their visit a great experience from the start. I am a people person. I love
smiling, starting conversations with strangers and making great first impressions. As stated before, medical front office assistants are the very people patients interact with and I want to be someone who can make a person feel welcomed in thirty seconds.
Another reason to major as a medical assistant is because it is a growing career. There will always be doctor offices and hospitals around. With the need for medical attention and doctors not being able to care for patients while checking in patients, someone will need to be upfront with guests. Medical assisting is expected to grow at least twenty-three percent and maybe even at a faster rate. I need and want to pursue a career that never slows down and never stop growing.
Becoming a medical assistant is fast and easy.
The educational requirements are simple. Depending on the job site you may work inside the office with just a high school diploma. However, some job sites may want you to have at least a diploma in medical front office assisting. Did you know that it may take only a few months to become a certified medical front office assistant? This career does not require much and I can start in my field in as little as twelve months. Another great reason to major in this career path!
My last reason to major in medical assisting is because of the pay. The average pay for these types of assistants can range from twenty-on thousand eight hundred and thirty dollars to thirty-thousand five hundred and ninety dollars yearly. The pay does not stop at those amounts it varies based off of your education level as well as your experience level. That amount of money seems like a lump some of money and an amount of money that my son and I can live off of. What is better than doing something you enjoy doing and getting paid a satisfying amount from doing
it?
In conclusion, I am persuaded being a front office medical assistant is a career choice perfect for me. The benefits, my personality compatibility and also it being a hot job is just some of my reasons to become a successful medical front office assistant. However, I will not stop there. I will move onto other career fields as well but right now my main focus is medical assisting. With Savannah Technical College I can and will achieve my career goals!
