1.) Hematuria – blood in urine, my child has had blood in her urine for the past 3 weeks so she is being referred to a Nephrologist. pg 227 “The Language of Medicine” 10th edition
2.) Impetigo – Bacterial inflammatory skin disease characterized by vesicles, pustules, and crusted-over lesions. My daughter had impetigo on her left upper check from a mosquito bite, it has now happened twice in her life. It is usually caused by staphylococci or streptococci. 3.) Diabetes – high blood sugar levels because of lack of insulin (type 1) or ineffective insulin (type 2). My daughter does not show any sign of this at this time or any other time but her maternal grandmother has type 2. Pg 9 “The Language of Medicine” 10th edition
