Experimenting on animals has contributed to the creation of many treatments and cures used these days. According to California Biomedical Research Association, almost every medical breakthrough in the last century has involved experimenting with animals in some way. The people that do this type of research have to, by law, treat and take care of the animals well. Taking care of the animal is also something necessary for accurate results in research. If the animal that is being tested is stressed due to bad treatment, the results will be unreliable. The amount of animals used for experimentation is also relatively low compared to the amount of animals that get eaten. About 1 animal is used in research for every 400 animals that get eaten (in the United States). That is a low amount in comparison and comes with a lot of benefits. Not only humans benefit from this.
