1. INTRODUCTION
This procedure covers the ore markup process for AGMC’s open pits.

Specifically it relates to work carried out by the Pit Technicians and Mine Geologists.

2. Pre-requisites
Leighton Songvang Mine Induction

3. EQUIPMENT, TOOLS AND MATERIALS
Check that you have plenty of the following equipment items before you enter the pit for supervising ore mark up:

Pen/pencil/folder
Maps of ore blocks to be mined with the point number of each point
Spray paint/flagging tape
Compass
25 litre paint tin on ute (if additional paint required to complete a job)

Your safety and the safety of those working with you must be top of your priorities at all times. If any task cannot be performed in the correct and safe manner, do not attempt it.

Always wear and use the following Personal Protective Equipment:
Hard hat (with brim extension and neck flap, day shift)
High visibility vest
Sunscreen (day shift)
Safety glasses
Hearing protection
Dust mask
Water bottle
Safety boots
Hand held 2 way radio and headsets
