From my personal experience, I know that the word OM gives the body tranquility from head to toe. The Upanishads have said, “Let us meditate on OM the imperishable, the beginning of prayer” (Upanishads, p. 125) This word is known for the way to do meditation and it is to know about the God within the Self. Thinking does not disclose deeply than meditation because there is more than the thinking and the thoughts that are created from that. Another example is, “from the world of words to the world of thoughts, then beyond thoughts to wisdom in the Self” (Upanishads, p. 82). This is one way to show that thinking does not disclose reality more deeply than thinking because there is more beyond the thoughts. Therefore, if an individual thinks, they will just compile thoughts and be stuck there. But going beyond the thoughts is the fact where you can find the Self and get the understanding of the Self. Thinking also allows the mind and body to stress out because of the eagerness of finding answers to questions that are unanswered.
