Meek Mill's House Argument
Drake is probably laughing out loud right now because his number one nemesis Meek Mill might end up being dumped by superstar girlfriend Nicki Minaj. Mill has started his house arrest on Tuesday, March 1 and it's not making the "Anaconda" singer very happy. He will be stuck in his house for 6-12 months and that could be enough reason for their relationship to go sour.

TMZ reported on February 27 that, “Nicki blanched at the notion, saying she would not put her life on hold because of his criminal issues, and that triggered a big fight that is still unresolved.”

The New York Times had a great profile piece on Nicki Minaj titled "The Passion Of Nicki Minaj", written by Vanessa Grigoriadis. Nicki opened up about her tough childhood, attending a top performing arts school, her hard beginnings as a rap artist, and having to be a "boss ass b*tch" to get respect in an industry that promotes a misogynist culture. And lastly her finding her own independence and success outside of a relationship. The profile was a nice read and had great insight into Nicki's career, so in case you've missed it I took the liberty to highlight the best parts for you below!…

Margo Solod and Sherman Alexie have written texts to show how people are affected by the places that they live in. In Solod's Poem, "Dream House", it shows how the speaker's dream house reminds them of all of their past memories that have happened there. However the house is now demolished, which leaves the speaker with a sense of loss. While Alexie's story, His Life on the Reservation, shows that as long as John has his family with him, it does not matter where he lives. When brought together, these texts show that wherever one lives, the surroundings of that place will affect who they become.…

I learned a lot while watching the film "The Black Power Mixtape". I didn’t know much about Stokely Carmichael or Angela Davis and their part in the movement. However, after doing some research I got a better understanding of them and, I was surprised that I learned more about them online and through this documentary than in my history class in high school. I knew a little bit about the Black Panther party but not to the extent of them being the reason people have free breakfast and lunch at schools. This film gave better details as to the importance of the Black Panther party, in addition to the overall Black Power movement. But it wasn't until the end of the film that it really hit me that some people may never know about certain important…

For example, let’s say you have a couple that gets into an argument or should I say, a conflict, about their child spilling juice on the living room carpet. The mother may view it as being a simple mistake and can easily be cleaned, whereas the father may make a big deal out of it. Obviously, both perspectives are different based on their reactions.…
