This letter is to address concerns we came across while auditing the financial materials of Dogs N’ Thangs Company:…
John Steinbeck’s novel carries of lot of symbolism on its pages. It is owing to these symbols the author revealed the characters to the reader. One of the most important symbols of the novel is the symbolism of the Candy’s dog. As Candy’s dog is no longer needed and has given birth to new strong sheepdogs the only possible resolution is to kill the “unnecessary” animal. This killing is hidden behind the motive of not making the dog suffer. Once somebody becomes weak – he is no longer needed. Though Candy loves his dog he does not stop Carlson from killing it. The key of this symbolism is that Candy himself is an “old sheepdog” and Lennie becomes an “old sheepdog” at the end of the novel.…
“Comparison is the death of joy”- Mark Twain. When you compare two things, for instance animals, you began to compare and contrast them which loses the value of each individual because they both have the potential to do anything the other is being known for being capable to do. Although German shepherd and Persian cats are both well liked pets, they have tremendously dissimilar qualities that require their owners to handle with them in many incompatible ways. There is a large number of similarities that Germans shepherds and Persian cats share, but at the same time they are very unlike. Both animals are very popular pet in America today and are also very popular pet all around the world as…
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon is able to engage the reader in many ways. Haddon provides a mystery for the reader to solve-who killed the dog?- while he also is able to create a larger puzzle-what is going on with Christopher's parents and why is their life so messy? And he does this all while simultaneously putting the reader inside of Christopher’s mind so they can learn about what life with his disability is…
The bravest animal on Animal Farm is, Boxer. Boxer’s bravery is the main reason as to why Animal Farm was prosperous. His “I will work harder” motto demonstrates his willpower and intrepidity in the novel Animal Farm. He shows valor by fearlessly fighting each battle no matter how much harm was done to his body and his willingness to work even after he found out he was terribly sick.…
Some other interesting facts about the Australian Shepherd breed is that they are very sensitive. They take getting yelled at very seriously and they will put their head down, run away and hide. Other things that I find interesting about the breed is that they can actually be in town dogs. They require an active family but, can live in a suburban area or even a rural home. Also Aussies will set a warning bark when they hear or smell something that is unfamiliar to…
A young deer has strayed away from her herd and is innocently grazing on grass. Ten yards away, a hungry wolf pack slowly stalks toward the fawn after trailing her for days. The deer senses what's happening and darts away, but it's too late, the fawn is as good as dead. The snowy terrain works to the wolf's’ advantage, with their huge paws acting like snowshoes. The wolves advance as their strongest member leads the chase. The pups watch from the sidelines as the deer quickly tires out. The head wolf quickly latches on to the fawn’s nose and brings her to the ground. The deer thrashes as more wolves come and attack her. Not long after, the fawn gives up her fight and the wolves feast.…
This article was published in The Explicator. In the article, Levitt from the University of Colorado in Boulder, examines the similarities between Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby and Anton Chekhov’s novel The Lady with A Dog. The author of the article supposes that Fitzgerald, who was intricately familiar with Chekhov’s work, may have used The Lady with A Dog as a template for his novel. The Explicator is a journal for literary criticism. It has been in publication since 1942 by Routledge, an academic publisher based in the United Kingdom. Today, Routledge is considered to be one of the world's leading publishers in the field of humanities. While the main subject of the article, the comparison between the two novels, is not a part of my chosen…
A large Mastiff guard-dog named Keeper stalked Emily Brontë everywhere she went, acting like her second shadow. The affectionate duo had grown up together, and after her death, he howled in agony for numerous days, lamenting her departure. The importance canines had in her life parallels the significance of canines in her book. Throughout the novel Wuthering Heights, dogs function as symbols that reveal a character’s future.…

Authors of stories create vivid images by describing the setting. The mood and tone are heavily established in the setting of “The Lady With the Dog.” The setting changes a few times throughout the story. With each of these changes the mood and tone change along with it. From the romantic vibes of Yalta to the cold environment of Moscow, Anton Chekhov creates a setting that portrays the mood and tone throughout the entire story.…

n the short story of “The Half Husky”, through Harvey, Martin Lawrence suggests that individuals lives are heavily affected by the community that they inhabit thus everyone has a choice or a responsibility to help a person's life and should not be neglected. Harvey was a product of the community that he lived in, at a very young age he was a person who had never been noticed by his own community giving him a feeling of loneliness. This is further implied by Vanessa when she explains that “He was somebody who had always been around and whom I had never actually seen.” This further provides the idea that Harvey lives in a neglectful community that has failed to identify Harvey as a part of the community, but also that Harvey has a feeling of…
The first issue is in regards to a German Shepherd’s exercise and enrichment needs. The German Shepherd is intelligent, learns quickly, and has high stamina. This breed requires a lot of exercise and enrichment on a daily basis to maintain their mental and physical state. Classified as a herding breed, German Shepherds are designed to work all day and need a task provided to them or they will…
The tameness in wolves were a result of them receiving food from humans, which resulted in less fear and aggression. As a result, dogs became more integrated into human society. Due to the environment the characteristics of the mammal was altered. Dogs adapted and became more appealing to mankind. Dogs over time were able to be trained to have certain qualities such as hunting. The implication of selective breeding from the wolf into a dog for human satisfaction expresses the reason for different behaviors in various dogs. The sensitivity to the body language and social ques of human in dogs is the primary influence of cognition and behavior in dogs. The desire for these advance skills have shown that communication in dogs are similar to those in babies and again more advance than human…
