Memo From HR to CEO Regarding Hiring Requirements
From HR specialist
To CEO

In last 4 months our company has a lack of skilled personnel. So, my HR department decided to open one more vacancy for the General Manager post.

We designed special leaflets where all of the requirements were mentioned, so that the General Manager must be enthusiastic, have outstanding communication skills and be able to work with people from different cultural backgrounds. After two weeks of getting calls and letters, we short-listed four candidates to work with. Every one of them can be a great Manager, but we had only 1 vacancy, so, we created more criteria to be discussed. Look at the table below to see them.

In order for this program to be efficient, it would be necessary for customers to be given a bar-coded card which would be swiped at the time of purchase and electronically record their points. The point system could be a point:dollar one. For each dollar spent, one point would be accumulated. The current information technology database has what is identified as a “customer table” with demographic information for birthday and anniversary mailings. This will need to be modified to include the Frequent Shopper purchases on a cumulative basis. After accumulation of a certain number of points (to be determined by Kudler), the customer will be able to redeem the points for a gift of his/her choice.…

Lima beans are edible flat whitish beans and are good to use for any experiment because they represent the human body in that they both go through all of the same processes of growth and development. This lab uses lima beans in order to determine whether they were viable or not. If a bean is viable, it means that it is alive: able to grow and develop. The two ways to find out whether a bean is viable or not, are a tetrazolium test and germination test. Tetrazolium is a chemical that turns red in the presence of hydrogen ions. All living organisms release hydrogen ions every day and therefore, it was possible to see whether the lima beans were viable or not using tetrazolium. This is a result…

Staffing today has changed greatly and presents many challenges for organizations. Many candidates are not as easy to find as they used to be. Many potential candidates are usually already employed. Many potential candidates that are already employed are looking for work but not aggressively. There are reports that suggest that more than half of the employees who work for other organizations are very interested in seeking new employment but often times are not making themselves known since they are looking so passively. This makes it difficult for many organizations to staff their agencies. Positions in the organizations are vacant but there not enough candidates applying to fill the vacancy. This can be difficult for organizations to have a healthy pool of candidates to choose from. Without a healthy pool of candidates positions can be left vacant for a longer period of time and it can become a detriment to the organization.…

All of these characteristics add value for an effective manager. The first one is vision; this helps because everyone starts something with a view of what it will become. This will also help motivate other by knowing as your company grows it will improve and be something great because, the whole team has worked together. You need a vision so you have a goal/ something to work towards. A manager needs to be efficient, because they have many responsibilities that need to be fulfilled and people depending on them. They need to be organized also because, they have so many responsibilities and so little time. Managers need to control their company, if you have a group of regular employees telling you what to do confusion starts, because there is not a designated person to go to for issues. So it is safe to say, you should know your role. A manager needs to have the ability to plan, everything might come at you and you will have to know what to do. Say you have a restaurant; you would have to plan on ‘chilly’ more in winter months than you would at other times of the year. When a manager you need to have a positive attitude, you cannot expect your employee to have a positive attitude when you don’t have one. Besides that it’s good for business, people are not going to want to go somewhere that has snotty service. Sense perspective is something a manager should have; respect is a very important quality. More often than not if your manager shows respect to you, it will catch on. A manager should want to gain their employees trust. I know at my first…

Managers are responsible for being a manger and a leader all rolled up into one, but it takes an effective leader to carry out the roles. A leader has to have followers that are willing to follow the quest. The manager must be able to understand the people's potential prior to placing them in a particular position within the organization so that there will be a good fit to the organization. The mangers that are staffing the positions want to be able to have individuals that can work on there own and be able to get along with others within the environment. The staff needs to understand the vision of the organization, and to be able to follow that quest and stay on tack, not deviate from the vision of the organization.…

After interviewing for a seat at Concorde’s Dental Hygiene Program in Dallas, I encountered a problem that I had to solve very unwillingly. Granted my acceptance, my husband and I had to decide if we were going to move or not. With him being in the Army stationed at Fort Hood, he couldn’t possibly move to Dallas. Fortunately, my in-laws whom reside in the Dallas area offered for me to stay with them while I was in the program. I of course accepted that offer. But considering I would have to quit my job if I was accepted, and my husband and I would go down to one income, something had to give in order for us to save money and not break the bank. We concluded that we would have to downsize from our beautiful three bedroom two bathroom home with the most beautiful lawn you have ever seen (due to my husband’s hard work). After only living there for about a year and a half, neither one of us wanted to move, but it had to be done. Hence we started looking for a smaller place. We would find one that we loved, but they had a strict no dog policy. With two dogs over 50 pounds, we couldn’t exactly sneak by that rule. Therefore the house hunting continued. One day, my husband was told by one of his fellow soldiers that he and his family were being moved to Hawaii and that his duplex would be up for rent in May. He said that we wouldn’t have to pay a…

Hello, Dr. Greenspan how are you doing today? I am doing fine thank you, but lately I have noticed some concerns around the office that I wanted to bring to your attention. As the administrative assistant the employees have been coming to me complaining of sore backs, migraines, and being exhausted mentally and physically by mid-day. I have noticed several careless mistakes with scheduling, billing, and rudeness with the patients and something needs to change. I have a great idea for a program implementation that can help with this problem. In fact, 10-15 minutes a day the employees can stretch and exercise their bodies in the spare room within our office. Here the employees can relax, mediate and stretch their sore bodies, but also distress…
