I could hear a voice faintly, a familiar voice, someone yelling at me to wake up and get ready for school. It continued for 5 minutes with the volume increasing gradually that I realized
it's my Father. The chill weather, the warm blanket and the bluish sky comforted me like a princess. My eyes refused to open more than 5 degress. I kept seeing the clock every 5
minutes to see if it was 7. I would keep reminding myself, "6:55 is when you have to get up". Surprisingly everytime I close my eyes at 6:50 AM with a belief to wake up at 6:55 AM, the
clock would tick 7:00 and I would jump out of the bed hearing the school siren ring.

I was ready in 20 minutes, neat and fresh, pinned my badge "Vice Captain" to the left of my uniform and rushed to my school. It was 7:25 AM. Time for prayer.
I stood in the second row behind the Captain, firm and steady.
Behind me, were 4 rows of Prefects and behind them stood 400 people.
The School Captain shouted loud:
"Stand at ease", "Attention", "Stand at ease"
Command!
I could feel the moment coming close, a strange feeling down my stomach, with the teachers, principal and all the students waiting for the final scores. The air was filled with curiosity
and tension.
John Sir, our English lecturer( My favourite) came on stage to begin the ceremony and announce the results. The students of different houses went on stage to receive prizes and so did
I, to receive mine for bagging first in Group Dance and 3rd in Essay Writing.
The scores had to be announced and I prayed like never before. All I kept repeating was, "The rolling trophy goes to Red House, The rolling trophy goes to...."
The 3rd prize was announced, there was a roar and cry. It wasn't us but
