What is a MEMRISTOR
Memristor is really a MEMory ResISTOR
Memristor can be defined as a two terminal device which shows the relation between magnetic flux and charge memristor symbol

Memristor and Resistor
• The way resistor has resistance , memristor has memristance. • Same unit –ohm.
• Memristance can be switched to different states.
• Memristor has non linear v-i plot.

Memristor features
• resistance depends on magnitude, polarity and time application of voltage.
• Save its electronic state when current is turned off.
• “Remember” how much current has passed through it. pediain.com

Physical analogy for a memristor
• Resistor is analogous to a pipe of fixed diameter through which water is flowing
• Water(charge q), input pressure(voltage v), rate of flow of water(current i).
• Resitance depends on diameter.
• Memristor is analogous to a special kind of pipe that expands or shrinks when water flows through it.
• The pipe is directive in nature.
• If water pressure is turned off, pipe will retain its most recent diameter, until water is turned back on. pediain.com Physical analogy for a memristor

When water flows in one direction the diameter increases (resistance decreases) When water flows in opposite direction the diameter decreases (resistance increases) pediain.com

Why memristor a fundamental element
• Can not be duplicated by R,C,L.
• Peculiar behaviour- carries memory of past.
• Duplication requires alot of

The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) have affected the teaching of mathematics and science in several ways. In transitioning from No Child Left Behind to CCSS there have been two main changes that are responsible for affecting how teachers deliver mathematics and science instruction. With these new standards, there has been a shift in curriculum focus and a shift in the types of assessments used. These changes have greatly affected the lessons and teaching techniques used at all grade levels.…

Gordon E. Moore, co-founder of Intel, noted in 1965 that the power of integrated circuits doubles every two years.[1] This, known as Moore’s Law, is the basis for what I believe to have had the most profound impact on American History. Without integrated circuits, culture changing devices such as the iPhone would not be possible. These circuits were created in 1958 by Jack Kilby, inventor of the hand-held calculator and employee of Texas Instruments.[2] By having all the necessary components made out of the same material on the same chip, integrated circuits make electrical devices smaller, faster, and smarter.[3] This has greatly impacted the entire world, especially in America, where technology is imperative to our every day lives. Not only does it impact us now, but it has affected us for over fifty years.…

Guglielmo Marconi and Nikola Tesla both contributed to the development of wireless communication. Marconi, an Italian working in Europe, and Tesla, a Serbian born immigrant to the U.S., battled for the right to hold patents for wireless communication technology of similar design. The privilege of being the name to bare mark in the history books and be called the one who brought us wireless communication was at stake. “Mr. Marconi is a donkey” said Nikola Tesla (Pickover). The patent for the fundamental technology of radio was awarded back and forth between them, and in the end, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Tesla. However, as it is with technology, patent or not, the credit owed for wireless technology we have today belongs to many.…
