via various symptom-specific medications and therapies. This paper addresses the treatment and signs Meniere’s disease.
The categorical signs of the MD encompass; tenacious vertigo occurrences. These vertigo incidences are connected to cochlear signs like the loss of hearing, aural fullness and tinnitus. In most cases the Meniere's disease affects one ear, however; research shows that in 30% incidences of Meniere’s disease, the MD has an impact on both ears (Ahsan et al. 2014). The Meniere’s disease attack starts with the cochlear signs and then the vertigo occurrences. The MD attacks commonly last for twenty minutes but the attacks cannot take place more than one day (more than twenty-four hours).
The MD’s treatment purposes for controlling vertigo attacks (Saeed 1998). The Meniere’s treatment encompasses; surgical treatment and medical therapy which include ablative treatment and maintenance treatment. The ablative treatment includes end organ medical ablation with the systematic streptomycin regulations. On the other, maintenance treatment encompasses the application of diuretics such as hydrochlorothiazide, frusemide and amiloride and also the dietary salt regulations. The maintenance treatment involves the dietary salt restrictions and the use of diuretics like the amiloride, frusemide, and hydrochlorothiazide. When medical treatments fail, the surgical treatment is applied (Tassianari et al. 2015).
