Junior Jeff Martin (Katy, Texas) was named to the ASC East Division Newcomer of the Year and First Team all-ASC East Division. Martin averaged 13.2 points, 6.8 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals a game for the YellowJackets. On 21 occasions, he scored in double figures and handed out double digit assists on four occasions including a 12-assist game against UT Dallas (Jan. 16). Freshman Caleb Loggins (Lewisville, Texas) was named the ASC East Division Freshman of the Year. Loggins averaged 7.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks a contest in 26 games. On eight occasions, he scored in double figures including a double double against Ozarks, where he also pulled down 12 rebounds. He is the first LETU player since Dusty Evers (2005-06) to earn the annual honor.
Loggins was joined on the all-freshman team with Christian Seidl (Lake Travis, Texas). Seidl averaged 5.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 21 games. He scored in double figures on three occasions including a season-high 15 against Howard Payne (Dec. 5).
