In today’s society crime is on the rise. The crimes could range from petty theft to murder. With the great recession that started in 2007 it has been hard from many people to cope with losing their jobs not having any money to support their families and also losing their jobs. The recession itself has made crime rise because people are desperate to make sure they can care for their families. The recession also made it hard for people to receive the proper care that they needed due to no jobs, no money, and no heath care insurance. These cuts have closed the doors to facilities. The first facilities that are usually affected are mental health type facilities and other medical type facilities that do not seem to be rather important to the government. This affects the people who are indigent, homeless, or low or working class people who do not have insurance or make enough to pay out of pocket. There are other cuts that also affect people with mental illnesses that are the jails and prisons. They are usually fall in the category of one of the next facilities to receive budget cuts. Religion in Society plays an important role in the society, especially for the less fortunate. The United States is a country that has so many different religions within the society. No matter which form of religion that people may be a member of it has a major impact on society. Especially with people living in poverty, the homeless, the mentally ill and anyone else that seriously needs help. People who are religious are very giving people. They want to help society and bring society together in equality and solidarity. They help feed the poor, help pay their bills, make sure they have a place to stay, and sometimes have the opportunity to find them medical, dental, or mental health when needed.
