Most of the people involved in this are
described by the National Mental Health Consumer and Care Forum (NMHCCF) of Australia as psychosocial for they are people with the disability experience with impairments and participation restrictions related to mental health conditions. According to NMHCCF, Australia is quite aware that they are still lacking of community awareness about psychosocial disability but moving forward to surmount the above-mentioned difficulty. They stated that the initiatives to build the capacity of public institutions to meet the needs of people with psychosocial disability need to be expanded. That community would build a wide anti stigma campaigns.
This changes is slowly making its way to the communities in Australia. It is widely spread by now. This can inform the community about the treatment and care for the client. In 2013, the Australian Government introduced the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The NDIS provides funding for people with disability (including people with psychosocial disability) to enable them to purchase reasonable and necessary supports. The Mental Health Australia also provides advice to governments and other stakeholders on NDIS issues raised by mental health consumers, carers and the service providers. This will make the people with psychosocial disability supported and make them feel that they are part of the community.
