MN6052: Mentoring Programme
Assessment: Mentoring Programme report and Self-Reflection (50%)

Overview
For this module you are required to participate in a mentoring programme. This is a 10 week programme in which you will mentor a 1st/2nd year student (mentee) to help them to become “Business Ready Graduates”.
Your role is to devise an individual mentoring programme to work with your student/ mentee to:
a) help identify key career objectives/ company/ job ( or other agreed objective – also agreed with your tutor)
b) help them to identify their current competencies
c) identify what they need to improve on
d) help them develop strategies and an action plan to improve their skills
e) support them to perform well at interview

For your 2nd assessment you must produce a 1500 word self- reflective report, which is an evaluation of your experience of the mentoring process. This will be a self- reflective report including theoretical analysis and application . You need to provide clear evidence & analysis of what you did, how you did it, what the results were for your mentee and what you learned about yourself and your own skills during the process – this must be related to relevant theory.
This programme is 10 weeks long and will start in week 2 to allow you time to find a mentee.
You will be expected to bring your records of your meetings to the weekly lecture/ workshop to discuss with your tutor.

Record Keeping
At the start of your mentoring you must produce a “Mentoring Agreement” (use nesta.org.uk as base).
You must provide evidence of your weekly meetings with your mentee and complete the log form which will record the session date; time; objectives; discussion ; problems identified; how you support your mentee to find a solution; the successes/ breakthroughs; further agreed actions.
Your mentee must also make some comment on the usefulness of each session and you both must sign the log after each session.

The United States Constitution is the single most important document in American history for a variety of reasons. Not only does it provide the framework for our government to operate, but it also states the rights and liberties each citizen has. The Constitution strikes a unique balance between power at the national level and at the state level, not allowing for the national government to become so strong that it tramples the rights of states or individuals. In a world where we see so much instability in many countries, it makes one really appreciate what we do have even though we might not all agree on the same issues facing us.…
