Putting more focus on incorporating classical and operant conditioning, along with observational learning into teaching methods can help increase performance because it requires more effort on the educator’s part to expose their students to certain types of problems, which also ties into how the children develop cognitively. Also, putting more focus on the children’s’ strengths and weaknesses for every subject helps balance out their skills and become better in certain intelligences that they weren’t previously. Politicians should also try other forms of measuring student performance rather than giving a standardized test that would cause teaching to the test. Having some form of attachment to the educator of a certain class or all their classes, allows for self-esteem to be boosted, if there is no secure attachment in the home, and improve work ethic. All of this requires educators to be more motivated to work harder to help their students perform better not only in their classes but be able to use the skills learned in their other classes and in the real world. Merit pay would help increase this motivation for this to happen, but with the intention that it is more for the students rather than the teacher’s bank account which can cause competition. Therefore, it is recommended to the politicians of this country to implement some form of merit pay in order to help increase student performance, especially since education is an important issue for this
