grams had similar results to the ball that weighed 60 grams, with an average diameter of 9.6 cm.
This demonstrates that the hypothesis was proven correct, because with the growing weight of the meteorite, each crater increased in size.
A 125 mL flask was obtained. The square of aluminum was fashioned over the flask by laying the foil over the mouth and folding the sides down. A pin was then obtained and was used to poke a tiny hole in the center of the aluminum cap.…

A. Create a solubility curve for NH4Cl by plotting g NH4Cl/100 mL H20 on the y-axis, and crystallization temperature on the x-axis. Make sure to label each axis. On the same graph as the solubility curve for NH4Cl, add the solubility curve for NaCl using the data provided in Data Table 3.…
An ion is an atom or a molecule with a positive or a negative charge due to the loss or gain of one or more electrons. Ionic solids are salts (such as NaCl) that are held together by a strong force of attraction between ions of opposite charge. Molecules are the smallest physical units of an element or a (chemical) compound. Ionic solids are also known as salts because salts are ionic compounds that are formed from a reaction between an acid and a base.…

The mass percent of water was determined using the mass of water and dividing it by the total mass of the hydrate and then multiplying that answer by 100%. The number of moles of water in a hydrate was determined by taking the mass of the water released and dividing it by the molar mass of water. The number of moles of water and the number of moles of the hydrate was used to calculate the ratio of moles of water to moles of the sample. This ratio was then used to write the new and balanced equation of the dehydration process. The sample was then rehydrated to the original state and the percent of the hydrate recovered was calculated by using the mass of the rehydrated sample by the mass of the original hydrate and then multiplied by 100%.…
The first step to conduct this experiment is to set up your ramp, whether it is a pool noodle or flexible pipe insulation. Adjust the ramp to the correct height you chose for this investigation. Next, place the 4 textbooks exactly 84 centimeters from the wall. Then place the cup exactly 40 centimeters from the 4 textbooks. Now it is time to start the actual experiment. Take your marble and place it at the top of the ramp. Let the marble roll to to end of the ramp and record whether or not the marble landed inside of the cup. Repeat these steps adjusting the height of the ramp as you go depending on where the marble lands. The data was used to determine what height was the best for the marble to land inside of the target cup. The data was analyzed by comparing the different heights to the number of times the marble landed in the target…

Animals fight for survival daily, and sometimes their lives depend on their ability to adapt with their surrounding environments. Natural Selection is the process in which individuals have certain traits that allow them to survive and produce more efficiently (Reece et al.456). The animals that inherit these important traits have a higher fitness; therefore, those without the traits have a lower fitness (Reece et al.456). One example of natural selection is the differences between American Alligator and Albino alligator. The American Alligator acquired dark, thick skin due to the swampy, wet marshlands they live in ("American Alligator." Aquatic Community. AC Tropical Fish and Aquarium. Web. 21 Feb 2013.). It has a higher fitness than the Albino Alligator because their pigment not only hides them from predators, but also gives them an upper hand when sneaking up on prey while hunting ("American Alligator." Aquatic Community. AC Tropical Fish and Aquarium. Web. 21 Feb. 2013.). On the other hand, the Albino Alligator has a much lower fitness and is very rare because it does not have the allele that produces the pigment that has dark skin. The white color stands out like a sore thumb in its dark environment ("White alligator is one of the rarest in the world." Telegraph Media Group. 16 Feb 2009: n. page. Web. 21 Feb. 2013.).…
In this experiment our main objective was to create three gaseous oxides CO₂, SO₂ and NO₂ by using data that was collected using a pH sensor which was connected to a laptop with LoggerPro and Vernier. We created the gases by bubbling each gas into the water to create the three acidic solutions we were looking for. Once that step was completed, the pH levels of all three solutions were compared to each other to see the different strengths of each solution. As a result we found that NO₂ had the highest pH level change out of all the three gasses that we collected.…
Benjamin Disraeli once said, “Circumstances are beyond the control of man; but his conduct is in his own power” in Contarini Fleming, 1832. What this quote is means is that there certain situations we can’t control, however we can control our actions and how we deal with the situation. This quote can be proven true in both, the play the Crucible by Arthur Miller and the book Night by Elie Wiesel. In the Crucible, John Proctor learns to deal with the Salem Witch Trials and in Night, Elie has to deal with the Holocaust.…
Ping! Pong! The guns fired in the school. In 1999 April 20 school shooting broke out. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris were responsible for the deaths of Rachel Scott and other boys and girls. Rachel was the first person to die in the shootings Columbine High School. Rachel was asked if she loved God, she replied and said yes. Dylan Klebold shot her in the head because she said she believed in God. Dylan and Eric planed this attack very well. They put bombs everywhere. They went into the school and shot 12 kids and 1 teacher. Dylan and Eric’s parents should not go to jail for what the kids did.…
