The objective of the experiment was to determine how the weight of a meteorite is related to the size of the crater it makes. The independent variables that were used in the experiment were, a ball that weighed 210 grams, one that weighed 60 grams, one that weighed 40 grams, and one that weighed 10 grams. The ball that weighed 10 grams made the smallest crater, with an average diameter of 8.5 cm. The ball that weighed 210 grams made the largest crater of the four weights tested, with an average diameter of 11.9 cm which was even larger than the diameter of the meteorite. The ball that weighed 60 grams created a crater diameter in between the first ball and the second ball tested, with an average diameter of 9.9 cm. The ball that weighed 40

    Animals fight for survival daily, and sometimes their lives depend on their ability to adapt with their surrounding environments. Natural Selection is the process in which individuals have certain traits that allow them to survive and produce more efficiently (Reece et al.456). The animals that inherit these important traits have a higher fitness; therefore, those without the traits have a lower fitness (Reece et al.456). One example of natural selection is the differences between American Alligator and Albino alligator.
