Today I read “TWITTER GOES TO COLLEGE” by Zach Miners. This is about how different professors at different colleges around the country are incorporating the social media site “Twitter” into their classrooms. This allows the students to send in their opinion of the topic without being shut out by someone talking louder than them. It is also helpful for professors who want to keep up to date on topics that have something to do with the class. Though it is helpful, there is also criticism about how it decreases attention span and makes grammar…

Throughout my freshman college career, I was able to adapt to a new style of writing. Later on, the style of writing that I had learn had aided me with the transition of my Paper 2 to fit in my public argument in Project 3. Since this was a vital public argument, then it had to be shortened down and be extremely specific to illustrate its key points. By using these methods, I was able to easily format my research in order to produce a debatable argumentative speech for Project 3. Last but not least, the changes that were being made increased the overall effectiveness of my debatable argument, helped present my message stronger, plus it increased my rhetorical use of ethos, pathos, logos in Project 3.…

I can recall as early as 5th grade taking on “people” projects, which I always viewed as “helping” someone. From simple “projects” such as the little girl in 5th grade who only needed to brush her hair all the way through to virtually attempting to “help” a family member move clear across the United States, away from an abusive spouse and what I thought were deplorable conditions. In having to write about myself for this contest, I wanted to dig deep and be honest. It is 4 o’clock in the morning, the day this little essay is due of course, and I realized something about myself. I am always looking for my next project. I have always had someone who I am “helping.”…
