Mexican Food
Mexican and american food are both very different, but in ways very similar. American food is served in Mexico, but in America mexican food is also served a lot, it is just served very differently. The differences between the two countries food is actually extremely amazing. The similarities are only a few but very good points.
In many different ways american foods and mexican food are very similar. The most common thing they share is that the food is unhealthy. They have lots of grease and lots of caffeine in most foods, but they even though they are unhealthy it still taste so good. You can not get enough. They go crazy when it comes to food. Mexican food is usually spicy. They like to use chili, lime, salt and garlic. Most mexican meals are served with tortillas. Now, the tacos that are made in mexico and often served in america are made with lots of different meats. Some examples of popular tacos in mexico are: tacos de pastor, ( thin pork seasoned with adobo and is often served with pineapple). Tacos de tripita are tripe tacos. Tacos de chorizo( spanish-style sausage). Tacos de cabeza( tacos of cow head). And last tacos de lengua (cow tongue). They do have tacos de pollo (chicken tacos ), but it is not as popular as all the other tacos. All these tacos are served with 2 small corn tortillas topped with cilantro, and salsa. Another popular dish in mexico is the dessert. Now mexicans love to go all out with their foods. Their desserts are both sweet and spicy you have stuff from pastries than fruits. You have your sweets like: churros (cinnamon-sugar fried treats). You have flan( jello like open rimmed pastry). And then you have your spicy desserts.     Tex-Mex foods consist of a variety of the same ingredients as Mexican food. The Tex-Mex Cuisine is based on Corn, Pinto Beans, Tomatoes and Chili, Texas chile, Tacos, Fajitas and much more ingredients.     When I hear the word Mexico, images of mouthwatering enchiladas and quesadillas come to mind. And of course, salsa.     In the western area of the U.S, the most common Spanish speakers are Mexican, making their food the most prevalent. This has created a disconnect in the minds of the residents because they automatically assume any Spanish person or Latin food they come across is automatically from Mexico. In reality, Mexican food is uniquely known for its heavy use of spice and the main ingredient in their dishes, is corn. Even the candy is coated in a layer of chili.
