My ideal basketball player is Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan has the perfect qualities that make an ideal basketball player. He possesses excellent basketball skills, physical ability, and a high level of confidence.
To begin, the ideal basketball player must show good basketball skills. You have to have the fundamental skills to play the game. These range from shooting and passing, to rebounding and defense. Good basketball skills are the foundation of Michael Jordan. He worked on his skills from high school to Chapel Hill to NBA, where his skills flourished to high levels. For an example, at the end of his career, Michael developed his low postgame where he would use his size to shoot a turnaround jump shot over the defending player. Basketball players rarely get to sprint at full speed with long strides, so practice building your agility by hopping off one foot in different directions, changing directions frequently during short sequences of sprints or zig-zagging quickly through cones or figure-eight patterns. Basketball requires a player to start and stop throughout the game, forcing a player to accelerate, decelerate and change direction with equal skill. The lateral quickness also helps players provide better help defense. Michael Jordan had great physical ability as a basketball player. Michael used his mobility and agility to pass defenders on the court to score a countless number of shots. His agility, helped Michael defend other players on the defensive side of the court. He had great leaping ability, as he showed so many times with crowd pleasing dunks on fast breaks down the court. Michael leaping ability is what allowed him to shoot over players.
