Have you ever thought someone who was cut from the varsity team in his sophomore year could go to the NBA? Michael Jordan is now called, ‘‘The greatest of all time.’’ Michael Jordan now also holds many NBA records! This paper will inform you about the evolution of Michael Jordan, newborn baby, to an NBA all star, multi millionaire, hall of famer. Michael Jordan was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, NYC. In Michael Jordan’s childhood he played a lot of sports and he was very active. Later in his life he went to Emsley A. Laney High school and there in his sophomore he was only 5’10. Michael Jordan got cut from the varsity team in his sophomore year, but knowing Michael Jordan he was never going to give up. He also has 4 siblings who are James R. Jordan Jr., Rosslyn Jordan, Deloris Jordan, and Larry Jordan.
Michael Jordan got out of high school around 1980. There at the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill and he won the wooden college player of the year award and Naismith. Michael Jordan averaged 17.7 points a game! He played for about 3 years at UNC and left in his junior year to go play in the NBA. Everyone knew that

He also won 5 MVP awards in the years of 1987, 1990, 1991, 1995, 1997. Jordan had a very exciting dunk contest in 1987. After a dual versus Dominique Wilkins he won the NBA dunk contest after his very famous dunk from the free throw line.He had also won defensive player of the year that same season! But in the years of 1993, 1995, 1996, 1997, and 1998 he won in total 6 NBA finals rings! For him playing 15 seasons, that is a great record! Just to put this put there he only played for 2 NBA teams, ( Washington Wizards, and of course Chicago Bulls.) And to only play for 2 teams and win 6 rings is pretty impressive. With his many awards and his greatness and him being able to pull off 6 rings I can clearly see why people can see him as the ,“Greatest of all
