The author’s informative personal views make it understandable that the truth can never be reached by listening to the voice of authority. A stand reflecting Bacon’s views are that laws are made to protect the rights of the people, not to feed the lawyers. For instance, he lead many acts towards helping the state’s individualism through the people and not the laws. A good example the author explains about is how Francis pushed for his way in Parliament for union with the people from Scotland to strengthen England against threats from the continent, and pushed for expansion
