There are not as many things to do in the college town of Olathe, but there are a multitude of things to do in Kansas City. On the educational side, you can visit the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art or the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. A few great places for entertainment are Sprint Center and Starlight Theatre- full of concerts, music, plays, etc. Also, for some fun, you can go to their amusement park called Worlds of Fun or Breakout KC (“Student”). Breakout KC is fairly new to the Kansas City area and is the top rated escape room in the world. The basics of the game is that a group of two to eight players have 60 minutes to crack codes, solve riddle, solve puzzles and use their gut feeling to break out of a room(s) (“Breakout”). In Kansas City, there are many well known places to eat. KC Joe’s BBQ (formerly known as Oklahoma Joe’s) is a very famous and popular barbecue restaurant in Kansas City that started in just a small gas station. Another popular place for the best Mexican food is Mi Ranchito (“Kansas”). Quay Coffee is a small, modern coffee shop on the River Market. The menu is very simple and easy to read due to their wonderful coffee. Quay is a place designed for studying, reading, meeting, socializing, and just for great coffee. This coffee shop was started by MNU alum Elizabeth and Tanner Stevens and they donate a portion of their profits to churches and the community
