Middle School Memory
My memory of my middle school math classroom it was one of the scariest part in my school it's because I don’t understand math much. It was 6th grade in a old dusty building it was like a building that was built during the 80’s or the 90’s. The desk were broken, there are drawings on the desk, there were cracks on the ceiling, and some parts of the wall were turning into a nasty yellow. I sat at the last row in the classroom with 32 students in a room about 50cm3. There is a big blackboard in the front of the class and 32 desk in the middle of the class, and a whiteboard in the back. The room always has a musty smell in it, I could almost smell it by mentioning it.
The bell rang, the apprehensive mood came through the classroom as fast as the speed of light, it was time for math class.
“Great, it math class.”
Then my math teacher start to

So I have to share with my partner when he is going over the quiz.
A while past by the bell rang, and it’s the end of the class every one pack up all the thing really quickly some of them just stuff it in. I stand up and walk up towards my teacher, he didn’t said a word until everyone have clear the room.
“Did you know why I tell you to stay after class?”
“Yes, I know Mr.Smith.”
“You're not doing so well recently in math, what is going on? Do you understand everything in class? Do you need help with it, because I can help you with it.”
“I-I don’t really understand that much in class and need help but I just don’t know where to ask for help from?”
“How about this from now on I will give extra homework to do, and you stay here with me after school to everyday I will explain to you everything how it works.”
“Got it.”
“Here is your quiz make sure you study at home I give you another chance to retake the quiz, you can go now.”
On my way back to my desk, I flip over my quiz and saw a big letter F on the top of the corner. I pack up my things and I went back home in

On Wednesday, April 7, 2010, I was blessed with the opportunity to sit in on a Mathematical class at John F. Kennedy Middle School in Riviera Beach, Florida. This was an opportunity to observe the function of a core class at the school that I teach and Substitute for. The teacher’s name was Mrs. Minor-Walker, which is one of our 7th grade teachers. When I walked into the classroom, I shook her hand and informed her of what I was intending on doing today. She was more than glad to assist with my assignment. These students were seventh grade students. This was an intermediate class, in which most of these children have encountered some sorts of issues with comprehending Mathematics prior to this year. Due to the…

Sitting down on the intense artic cold blue seat. I shrived immensely, worried that my desk was having an earthquake. After calming down and positioning myself at an angle away from where the icy cold air was coming from, I was ready. The instructor was having trouble opening the little red plastic tab in which you pull up to get access to the booklet, but after a while, we began to open them, some people had more trouble than others and, I was so anxious, my hand couldn’t stop rambling, almost unable to hold my paper. After starting, all I could hear were small, almost silent cries of surprise, others were with the flimsy pages, turning them back and forth and back again, almost sounded like a bird flapping its wings in a windy day, and the rest were pressing on their calculators, if you paid enough attention, you can make some sort of an upbeat melody. After ignoring all distractions, I managed to get some easy algebra questions, I thought to myself, other than its dull boring appearance, it is not that bad. I fastened my bright yellow, Dixon Ticonderoga pencil into my hand and marched on.…

At the beginning of ninth grade, I was slowly recovering from clinical depression, a cruel, brooding disorder that makes one feel as if they would be content with drowning in the endless unforgiving abyss of the ocean. Along with this pestering grim recovery came the stress and lingering anxiety of potentially failing a freshman math class. Mr. Albaugh, my ninth grade math teacher, was a fairly young, arrogant, but undoubtedly intelligent math teacher. He would always have some kind of smug retort to a student’s question, and upon the remark, “I do not…

I put my hand in the bag and I realized that I had forgotten the books at home. Everyone in the class had brought the books and I was the only one who had not brought the books. Principal approached me and asked me that why had I not brought the books? I told him that I was studying late, so I forgot the books in house. He said to me that the only reason you have to study at home is that you do not bring your books to school and you do not study over here. It was such an embarrassing moment for me that I felt like crying. The entire class started laughing at me and I was the new dumbo of the class.…
