Miley Cyrus Impact On Society

Miley Cyrus stopped being the innocent girl everyone thought she was to be herself. Miley posed for revealing photos and posted them herself despite the negative comments. Miley was faced with controversy when she posed the exposed photos of herself that appeared in Vanity Fair and her social media accounts (Biography.com Editors 1). People called her names and told her to take them down, but Miley liked the photos and did not listen to the critics. Miley changed her look to please herself and show the real her to the world. Cyrus did a dramatic change, “Miley cut her hair short and took to wearing edgy fashions as part of her effort to craft a new image of herself. But no one was quite prepared for how far she would go. At the MTV Video Music Awards Ceremony held in August 2013, Cyrus stunned the audience with her level and ranchy performance” (Biography.com Editors 1). Although people liked her look before, Miley kept the look she wanted and felt herself in. Miley made the music she loved and not the kind everyone told her to make to fit her old image. In late 2013, Miley released a new album Bangerz, which is embracing adult-themed lyrics and activities. She performs in resqúe fashion and is very controversial to parents and kids (Cunningham 1). Nobody expected Disney Star Hannah Montana to go raunchy, but that is what Miley wanted. Cyrus changed her life around no matter the consequences to be herself.
